These terms cover your use of howtocleanit.org, published by How To Clean It. Questions: [email protected].
Information, not a service
The articles are general information about cleaning household surfaces. They are not a contract to clean your home, not professional restoration advice, and not medical, legal, or mechanical instruction for a specific object you own. You are responsible for the products you choose, the surface you put them on, and for following the label and any local rule.
Some jobs described on the site can hurt you or the object if they are done past the point the article marks. Chimney sweeping, pool treatment, dryer-vent cleaning, and fuel-system work have a point where a qualified person should take over. Stop there.
No warranty
Guides are provided as-is. Finishes vary, including coatings that look like the material underneath. We do not warrant that a method will produce a particular result or that it is safe for every brand. If a guide is out of date or wrong, write to us and we will correct the page.
Your use of the site
You may read and share links to the pages. You may not copy the articles onto another site, sell them, or present them as your own writing. Do not misuse the contact form to send spam, malware, or threats.
Copyright
The text of the guides, as revised for this site, is published by How To Clean It. Photographs that remain from earlier versions of the site stay with their owners. If you believe a page uses your work, email [email protected] with the URL and we will review it.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, How To Clean It is not liable for damage to property, injury, or loss that follows from using a guide. If the law does not allow that limit, liability is limited to the amount you paid to use the site, which is nothing.
Changes
